Informed by Puppy Start Right® Karen Pryor Academy | The Critical Start for Under-vaccinated Puppies The socialization window (3–12 weeks) is a once-in-a-lifetime opportunity to influence your puppy’s behavior for life. What they learn—or don’t—during this time can shape how they respond to people, other dogs, new environments, and everyday challenges. This 100% virtual program is specifically designed for under-vaccinated puppies, allowing families to begin training and socialization immediately—without unnecessary risk. Through guided tutorials, structured socialization plans, and step-by-step training modules developed by an instructor trained in Karen Pryor Academy's Puppy Start Right® curriculum, you'll learn how to introduce novelty safely, reinforce desirable behaviors, prevent fear-based responses, and build lasting confidence during this once-in-a-lifetime developmental period. A 2024 systematic review of 2,836 U.S. shelter records found that behavioral problems were the leading cause of dog relinquishment—accounting for 28% of all surrenders (Journal of Applied Animal Welfare Science). Early education, training, and thoughtfully planned socialization can significantly reduce the risk of many common behavioral concerns while promoting confidence, resilience, and healthy emotional development. Puppy Preschool is designed to help reduce the risk of: • Fear and anxiety • Fear-based reactivity • Inter-dog aggression • Resource guarding • Separation-related issues • House-training problems Together, we can give your puppy the best possible start in life and build the foundation for a happy, confident, and fulfilling life with you and your family. Let's get started!
