Welcome to Long Beach’s #1 Puppy School: Force-Free & Ethical Training for Puppies Aged 12 Weeks to 12 Months! At Canine High School, we offer a positive reinforcement-based Puppy School Program designed to set your puppy up for success. Over the course of 12 weeks, your puppy will learn essential skills, including: - Basic commands - Obedience - Impulse control - Focus - Emotional regulation - Recall (coming when called) - Leash walking - Socialization Under the guidance of a certified dog trainers and AKC Certified Evaluators, your puppy will be safely supervised, exercised, and socialized with other dogs and puppies in a supportive environment. Preventing reactivity, separation anxiety and resource guarding is an additional benefit of working with experienced dog trainers and behavior consultants. Why Early Training Matters: Early training and socialization are vital for your puppy’s healthy development and lifelong confidence. We’re proud to be the only puppy school in Long Beach that integrates public access training into our curriculum. Your puppy will practice leash walking and behavior skills in real-world settings, including: - Parks - Beaches - Shopping centers - Restaurants - Other busy public environments This hands-on experience ensures your puppy becomes a relaxed, well-mannered companion ready to thrive in any situation. What You Can Expect from Our Program: - Daily Updates: Receive videos and photos to see your pup’s progress in action. - Weekly Progress Reports: Stay informed about your puppy’s achievements. - Pop-up sessions: 30 minute training sessions at your home to support you every step of the way. - Parent Involvement: Join our weekly in-person AKC Certification Exam Prep Group Classes and access our Online Training Library for self-study.
