Canine High School's Fetch School Program engages your dog's natural instinct to run, jump, retrieve, fetch and channels that into an AKC sport. A program designed as a vocational enrichment opportunity for athletic dogs, working breed dogs and hyper, energetic pups to help them develop coordination, obedience, recall, agility and to exercise their mind and body with sports that engage your dog’s natural instincts to work and to problem solve. We teach skills which provide many dogs with a sense of purpose, fulfillment and happiness. Our Fetch School Program includes training and preparation for the different AKC Fetch Titles. It is designed to be force-free, positive reinforcement based learning where pups learn skills that will allow them to prepare for the exam to apply for one of the 4 levels of titles in the AKC Fetch Program, and/or to develop fetching and sport abilities. Even if you do not wish to pursue an AKC Sports Title for your dog, this is a great program for dogs that need to channel high energy levels into a productive and fulfilling activity, your dog can engage in everyday sports of your choice. AKC Fetch is a fun AKC Family Dog program in which dogs can earn four levels of AKC titles by demonstrating retrieving skills. The AKC Fetch titles are: Novice – the dog earns the FTN (Fetch Novice) Intermediate – the dog earns the FTI (Fetch Intermediate) Advanced – the dog earns the FTA (Fetch Advanced) Retriever – the dog earns the FTR (Fetch Retriever) Each week we teach our students different fetching skills and reinforce all the previously learned skills in order to build an arsenal strong enough to advance through each title certification. Parents receive video courses and tutorials to practice at home!
