  • How do the school programs work?
    1. We conduct a Call with Admissions to create your account and fill out paperwork. Then we schedule an Admissions Interview with our head trainer (no-contact, outdoors) before scheduling your first day of service and buying your Pricing Plan. 2. You purchase your Pricing Plan and use our Book Online system to schedule which days you want your dog to go to school each week. You also schedule FREE AKC Certification Exam Preparation Group Classes in-person (no-contact, outdoors). And you can use the same convenient system to reschedule or cancel any days. 3. We pick up your dog during our route from 9-11am and drop them off between 3-5pm. Pick-up and drop-off is no-contact and outdoors in front of your home, or we can also pick up from your backyard. If you are not home, we ask that you leave your pup as close to the entrance as possible and we use a lock-box to come in and out without contact. 4. We will be working with your pups for at least 4 solid hours of training 1-on-1, pack walks, dog sports, and water breaks in between, as we work to meet the class requirements. We will send you picture updates during the day and weekly report cards and badges until graduation. Please do not overfeed them before school or they might get car-sick and be disinterested in training. 5. You do not need to provide the treats, but you can if you want to. Please also let us know if there are any food allergies or restrictions. We use freeze dried beef livers because they are high reward and have no additives. We buy US made only. Please do not send expensive leashes or things that you do not want to be chewed up while we are driving. But yes, you can pack lunch for them and send your dog's favorite blanket and toys if you like.
  • How do I enroll my pup?
Your first step to get started is to schedule a call with Admissions. Our Admissions coordinator will join you on the phone or over Zoom to answer your questions, fill out paperwork, start a file for your pup(s) and walk you through the admission process. We will also help you schedule your in-person interview during this call if you wish. Sometimes it is nice to just talk to a human, we got you! Here is a link to schedule your Call with Admissions:
  • What paperwork do I need?
Please be sure to fill out and sign your Service Agreement before your in-person Admissions Interview. We will also request vaccination records and spay or neutering records. As part of your Admissions Interview please fill out this Assessment Questionnaire about your pup’s details including history, health, home and neighborhood environment, etc. All factors that will be taken into consideration for your training plan. Your information will be safely put into your file and we can move forward to scheduling your in-home Assessment!
  • How do I schedule our Admissions Interview?
Thank you for your interest in scheduling your in-home Admissions Interview. The interview will be conducted by our head trainer, Carlos F Morales - CPDT-KA, he is a certified temperament test evaluator by the AKC, and he will be conducting the assessment personally. Afterwards he will be tailoring a customized training plan to meet your pup's behavioral goals, compatible with both your family and pup. There is a $99 charge for this service, 100% of which will be applied to your Private or School Pricing plan when you sign up for services. If you have not filled out your Assessment Questionnaire, please do so before your in-person Admissions Interview.
  • What is a Pricing Plan?
Next, you will purchase your Pricing Plan and use our Book Online system to schedule which days you want your dog to go to school each week. • How do I schedule our First Day of School?
Are you excited for your First Day of School? This option is for clients that have already passed their Admissions Interview and purchased their Pricing Plan to send their dog to Puppy School, Dog School, Social School or Agility School for the first time. We want to ensure a successful and safe introduction to the pack. Carlos, our head trainer, will personally pick up your pup on their first day of school. Your pup's first day will begin and end with a great experience that they will look forward to in the future! Here are some pointers for a successful first day: - Feed your pup earlier in the morning to avoid car sickness on their first day. Feel free to send a labeled packed lunch. - Make sure that you attach a tag on their collar or harness. We use our own equipment so please don't use anything expensive that other puppies can chew on. We do not need a leash. - We will send an ETA for pickup between 8 and 11 AM. If you're home we recommend going out and giving your pup a chance to go potty before getting in the truck. If you're not home we will use a lock box to come in and out of your home or to access your backyard to pick up. - Make the pick ups and drop offs as calm as you can, rushing, prolonged goodbyes or excited goodbyes make the puppies scared and nervous. We want all puppies to feel calm and confident! - On your pup's first day we will send you personal updates and fit them with their new uniform, so don't worry about communication. You will get additional updates to the daily email and video! - Save this link to manage your bookings, schedule upcoming bookings, view past bookings, reschedule, and cancel: https://www.caninehighschool.com/account/my-bookings Looking forward to a successful first day and don't hesitate to contact us if you have any questions or concerns! k9HS - Carlos F Morales - CPDT-KA | Head Trainer
